Position Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cask Strategy & Partnership Brands team as a Senior Finance Analyst. Edrington’s Cask Strategy plays a critical role in delivering exceptional quality liquid for our ultra-premium brands. It is a key expenditure area in the business and given further investment, such as the strategic partnership with Grupo Estévez, it provides an exciting new opportunity to join the team. The Senior Finance Analyst will be accountable for the delivery of high-quality and insightful value-adding management information, develop reporting across all areas of the cask supply chain, provide challenging financial support, and deliver key elements of strategic projects in this area. The role will be based in Jerez, Spain, and work closely with internal, strategic partner, and third-party teams in both Spain & Scotland.

Job Description :

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - Cask Strategy & Partnership Brands, key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting Development: Lead the development of enhanced reporting of all areas of the cask supply chain, producing comprehensive monthly reporting to be shared with management. Lead the development of cashflow reporting and ongoing monitoring.
  • Performance: Analysis of monthly financial and operational performance comparing against budget/forecast and prior year, interrogating variances and working with internal and external teams to understand key drivers.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Support the annual plan & quarterly forecasting processes and act as the lead in gathering the relevant input information.
  • Strategic Project Support: Provide financial and operational analysis and support for key projects across Cask Strategy.
  • Stakeholder Management: Development of strong working relationships within the Cask Strategy & Partnership Brands team, GSC Finance and Operations, Strategic partners, and third parties.
  • Act as a key link in day-to-day financial areas between the Finance team in Scotland and Spain.

Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will possess a professional accountancy qualification and have post-qualifying experience appropriate to this role. it would be advantageous if you have previous experience working within an operations or manufacturing environment. You will have strong analytical and technical financial skills and an ability to interact, influence and challenge cross-functional teams with a track record of building strong working relationships. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential and experience in using SAP, Analysis for Office (AFO). Ideally you have planning analytics experience. This role requires fluent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English.
