Systems Administrator - (At/fp Rota Spain)

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program’s mission is to design, procure, integrate, install and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.

In this role you will:

  • Install new software releases and system upgrades. Evaluate and install patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Perform system backups and recovery.
  • Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Provide critical preventive and corrective maintenance, information assurance, asset management, technical systems updates, service call resolution, and configuration management for C4I systems worldwide.
  • Provide Operation and Maintenance support including patch management/testing, STIG implementation and mitigation, information assurance/security, anti-virus, and data backup solutions.
  • Provide system administration and engineering support for Windows 2008/2012.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A DoD Secret Clearance
  • Security + Certification
  • High School diploma and at least 7+ years of specialized Systems Adminstration experience
  • Up to 25% travel

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with Windows Operating System and Windows Server, CCNA, and VMWare, with a strong understanding of current Microsoft supported windows operating systems.
  • Experience in the administration of Window’s Active Directory infrastructure to include Group Policy Object management experience, VMware ESXi server, data base solutions to include Microsoft SQL and Oracle, BackupExec, Acronis.
  • Ability to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deployments.
