Job Description : We are looking for a Head of BTS Portfolio delivery , to lead and coordinate the delivery function that manages programmes and projects for BTSP (Business Technology Services & Procurement). You will be responsible for the consistent and timely delivery of high quality business outcomes that meet business needs. You will also manage the allocation of project resources and funding to deliver against project demand.

You will:

  • Plan and design programmes & projects and proactively monitor progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate, corrective action where needed
  • Ensure the delivery of programme & project outcomes are to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget
  • Adhere to the wider BTSP governance model and wider compliance requirements of the Adevinta organisation and marketplaces
  • Oversee programme budgets and monitor expenditure / costs against delivered and realised benefits
  • Facilitate the appointment of resources to the appropriate programmes / projects
  • Manage interdependencies, risks, business change and any third party input
  • Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise
  • Report the progress of programmes / projects at regular intervals to leadership

Qualifications :

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to create a sense of community amongst members of the portfolio team
  • Strong knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes & projects
  • Sound business case development and approval skills, with good understanding of procurement process, including negotiation with third parties where needed
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise both the business and portfolio teams in relation to the high-level vision and outcomes of work
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and establish credibility across BTSP, Finance and the Business functions
  • Technical and business level English is a must
  • Have a positive team-player spirit, which benefits both groups and individuals
