Scientist Researcher

Responsibilities: Work in a team environment to deliver Aimsun R&D to project funding bodies in a timely and resource-efficient manner, including but not limited to: - Performing R&D activities, through simulation using Aimsun software, and undertaking study design, analysis and some software coding, model building where appropriate - Develop and review project-based reports, specifications and publications (both conference and journal) - Represent Aimsun and present project work at face to face project meetings, conferences and industry forums - Contribute to, and where needed lead, Aimsun involvement in bids for (primarily but not exclusively) EU R&D Projects - Contribute to the knowledge base of the group and take an active interest in the development of the software and underlying theories - Experiència 2 anys. - Excellent fluency in written and spoken English - Service orientation, flexibility, a positive attitude, and team spirit - Ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines - Experience in research and development of new concepts and models and experience in traffic and transport domain - Prior experience with project administration, management, or proposal writing (research funded projects are an advantage) - Expertise in developing and prototyping new concepts and models for simulation software and platforms - Strong communication (both written and oral) skills for preparation and presentation of technical reports, and internal relations with project stakeholders MSc in Computer Science, Mathematical or Operations Research or a relevant branch of Engineering European citizen or Spanish work permit Over two years of experience in a similar position - LLICENCIATURA O ENGINYERIA - diplomatura o enginyeria tècnica - matemàtiques-estadística - anglès (parlat b2 - avançat, escrit b2 - avançat) - català (parlat b2 - avançat, escrit b2 - avançat) - Competències / coneixements: - PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering (Transportation) or allied discipline - Strong coding skills in C++ - Knowledge of European and national research funding programs - Strong interpersonal skills - Fluency in Spanish - Additional languages, if spoken and written natively or fluently - Disponibilitat per viatjar - Contracte laboral indefinit - Jornada completa - Altres beneficis: - Modern, comfortable office locations with premier facilities - Restaurant vouchers, health insurance and life insurance - Social outings and team events - Continual professional development opportunities - Subsidised language courses - Dedicated HR support - Individual annual salary and performance review - Collaborative, horizontal company organisation - Cross-team innovation task forces to develop the next generation of transport technology solutions - Regular global team meetings and inter-team meetings - Opportunities for global working
