Job Description:We’re looking for a Senior Architect to work with our TELCO customers in the area of BSS (Business Support Systems). You will be leading the functional integration of our Portfolio solutions in the area for our Telco end customers. At HPE we have a strong portfolio of products in this area with references around the world in Tier 1 operators (PCRF, OCS, etc. ). We are also having a lot of traction in the deployment of the evolutions of these systems for 5G. This is your place if you’re interested in working in these areas with the carriers. In a typical day as a Solution Architect, you would:Lead the interaction with the customers in the understanding and definition of the requirements for E2E solutions in this area in a broad sense and considering the multiple use cases (data, voice, prepaid, postpaid, roaming, MVNOs, different network topologies, evolution, etc. )Lead multiple project teams of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration. Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities. Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization. Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members. Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Typically 8+ years experience as a Developer / Architect (see skills below)Portuguese and English level - Advanced to Bilingual, Spanish would be considered nice to haveKnowledge and Skills:General knowledge of a TELCO operator business, services, domains, systems and operatives. Extensive knowledge in MEDIATION, CHARGING and POLICY domains (OCS, CHF, PCRF, PCF) is a plusExtensive knowledge of platform deployments in Carrier/Mission Critical environments is a plusUnderstanding of the implications of Online/Real Time Charging from an architectural PoV is a plusVast experience in deploying 99, 999% systems (HA and geo-redundancy design strategies)Vast experience in HW, Virtualized, and Container deployments, with a thorough understanding of workload strategy to follow in Hybrid scenariosExtensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in the overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions. Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into the overall architecture. Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
