Eaton's Product Stewardship Center of Excellence (CoE) has an opening for an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Support Lead Engineer based at any Eaton European location.

  • Electrical and electronic equipment (EU Directive 2012/19/EU) and the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Principles
  • Batteries and Accumulators (EU Directive 2006/66/EC as amended) and UK Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations
  • Packaging and Packaged Goods (EU Directive 94/62/EC as amended) and the UK Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations

The position holder is accountable that all EPR related requirements are identified and met during the PROLaunch NPD process and is responsible for timely submission of EPR reports and successful cooperation with the 3rd party EPR service provider.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Support the country sales organization in generating and submitting EPR-related reports to national registers and national compliance schemes.
  • Work with the product teams on collecting, maintaining and extending EPR-related product master data.
  • Track, understands and identifies new EPR regulations of key markets (e.g. EU, USA, PRC) among others.
  • Maintain and update compliance processes and platforms to meet new/additional compliance requirements
  • Develop engineering change notes for product teams for addressing regulatory updates.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide regulatory input to product development teams.
  • Ensures that regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products.
  • Tracks and reports the overall product compliance status on BU-, divisional-, and sector-level.
  • Collaborate with the country sales organizations on the compliance status.
  • Suggest solutions for compliance issues and develop feedback mechanism.
  • Implement scalable business solutions across the organization

Qualifications : Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering,.
  • Strong experience in regulatory compliance management.
  • Strong experience with the EPR related regulations
  • Must have at least an intermediate understanding of SAP
  • Comprehension of industry, regional, and country EPR requirements.
  • Familiarity with the main national compliance schemes in the EU/EEA.
  • Thorough knowledge of product-related design, production, and distribution practices.
  • Strong technical skills in using SAP and ability in defining and implementing business requirements for system-mediated compliance platforms.
