**Summary: In the User Experience team we aim to provide the best experience to our users, customers, and partners, and we are committed to elevating the design culture and design quality of everything we do at Dolby.

The UX Design intern position is meant to help the design team in their journey to better understand our customers’ needs and to design better products, supporting and evolving our main design systems, and collaborate with and support the product and development teams on building amazing experiences for our users.

We envision it to be an opportunity to gain cross-functional skills from a diverse set of projects and global UX team sharing sessions, to see how we organize our design ecosystem and contribute to evolve it, and to collaborate first-hand (and have fun!) with top designers to build awesome experiences and elevate design culture at Dolby.

**Responsibilities:

  • Support the team on user research and user testing to help the design team better understand user’s needs. Generate interview scripts and design test tasks to prove assumptions or provide insights, arrange prototypes to facilitate testing, assist tests and summarize insights that help the teams take better decisions.
  • Partner with design and project teams to explore design solutions for Dolby Atmos content creation projects. Participate in brainstorming or design sprints, collaborate with senior designers to create (and test) solution concepts, and provide accurate mockups, interaction flows, and UI and animation specs.
  • Maintain and evolve the Dolby Professional Apps design system. Identify or gather improvements, maintain and evolve existing components, style, and tokens, and document the changes and iterations happening in the system.
  • Migrate active projects from Abstract+Sketch to Figma (or Sketch Workspace) for sustainable maintenance and better cross team collaboration.
  • Contribute to expose the design team work, process, and cases to the company.

**Qualifications:

  • Major in Interaction Design, Human Interaction, Multimedia Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar.
  • Strong communication and demonstration skills to convey ideas or solutions to other functional teams.
  • Innovative and analytical thinking is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of design tools like Figma and Sketch is required.
  • Knowledge of design thinking and user centered design is a plus.
  • Can work for at least 6 months.

**Eligibility:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Available to work part-time for at least six months
