We're looking for a motivated and aspirational Backend Developer to join our team in Barcelona.
Flowbox was founded in 2016 and is a fast-growing tech scale-up with great goals and broad visions. We provide a SaaS platform that helps brands improve their marketing, social media and E-commerce strategies. Our technology helps our clients to better collect, manage, and distribute their own customers' content, also known as User Generated Content (UGC).

About the teamOur Tech department consists of a Platform team. The team focuses on our UGC platform including integrations, back-office, content collection, moderations and distribution. The Platform team also handles our event streams, analytics, data infrastructure and pipelines associated with it.
The team works cross-functionally and with a hybrid environment. You will be given a unique and challenging work environment where you will have an opportunity to influence Flowbox’s product to the core. We like pair programming, reviewing our code, and providing each other with constructive feedback.
Your missionAs a Backend Developer at Flowbox, you will be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional, agile team, and build the backend infrastructure for our product which is growing in popularity as we grow our user base and continue to add new features.
- You will design, develop and maintain backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency and scalability.
- You will also work collaboratively to design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems, debug production issues across different services.
- You will work with a tech stack that includes Python, Docker, AWS, S3, Snowflake, Airflow, Athena, Kubernetes, Lambdas PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.
To thrive in this role, you should have at least 3–4 years of experience in backend development and data engineering.You should have strong coding skills in at least one general-purpose language, preferably Python.
Furthermore, you will be working with a tech stack consisting of Celery, Flask, Docker, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Microservices arch, GitHub and other AWS resources like Cloudwatch, kinesis, EKS. So if you have experience with these, it’s a big plus.
It is a plus if you have a track record of working with a fast-paced agile team with a startup culture and mindset. As a person, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset, including a strong work ethic and an interest in learning new technologies. You should be passionate about what you do and have a strong interest in keeping up with the latest best practices in your area of expertise.
