Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing the electrical, electronics, and mechanical aspects of shipboard auxiliary systems in order to conduct direct fleet support, functional checks, and analysis of system and component casualties and malfunctions; 2) Applying concepts, practices, and techniques of electrical, electronics, and mechanical engineering disciplines for the repair and overhaul of Special Purpose Power Conversion (Rotary), Machinery Control Systems, Degaussing, Power Generation, Electric Power Distribution, Electric Propulsion, switchboards and support ship systems; 3) Recommending corrective action pertaining to the design, maintenance, testing, safety and operation of shipboard auxiliary systems and related equipment; 4) Providing technical and engineering guidance to Naval Sea Systems Command activities and Port Engineers in resolution of repair/overhaul or test/grooming problems beyond their level of in-house engineering expertise to include direction of test programs and evaluations of repairs required in situations of major damage or deterioration; and 5) Applying technical electrical and mechanical engineering methods and approaches to complex problems to meet operational schedules.
