We are currently looking to hire a Port Agent for our Cruise division based in Barcelona.

Main functions:

  • Port Agency services.
  • The employee must be familiar with the idiosyncrasies of the different ports.
  • Organization, preparation, and coordination of cruise calls: Actions such as preparation of proformas, berth reservations, questionnaires, procedures, protocols, monitoring and support for port calls in all ports (own offices, partners and sub-agents).
  • Knowledge of management systems, both internal and client (cruise lines).
  • Cost control.
  • Support to crew and passenger services.
  • Attendance at meetings with clients (cruise lines/cruise ships) and authorities (port, health, police, civil guard, customs, etc).
  • Physical attention to the cruise ship in Barcelona and potentially in any other port if necessary.

Requirements :

  • Ideally 2 years’ experience within the cruise industry on a similar role
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly detail-oriented and organize work style
  • Able to work in a flexible manner
  • Problem-solving skills
