Global Lead Buyer

FUNCTIONS We are currently recruiting a Global Lead Buyer for the Fruit category to be based ideally in Murcia or willing to commute up to 2-3 days. Our ideal candidate will lead the source to contract process for pre-defined categories. As key responsibilities we can highlight the following: • Define & Implement category purchasing strategies• Manage the price negotiations for assigned category raw materials, ensuring cost control and security of supply• Facilitate innovation and business solutions through supplier relationships• Identify & implement cost saving opportunities.• Develop in-depth market knowledge of assigned categories• Provide knowledge and support to Marketing & Commercial Sales team on assigned category markets• Provide annual price forecasts for budget purposes and ensure price accuracy• Manage supplier relationships to optimize supplier performance Our ideal candidate will have: - 4+ years previous purchasing experience, preferably within a food ingredients or FMCG environment- Confident, self-starter with good communication skills- Excellent analytical skills- Negotiation, delegation and problem-solving skills- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels- Able to prioritize their workload and work effectively when under pressure, as working to tight deadlines is part of this role- Exceed standards and expectations, deliver results to budget and timescales, with the ability to identify and deliver improvements and have a right first-time approach- Fluent in English and Spanish.- Availability to travel
