This level role apply to Indirect Procurement (Manufacturing, Logistics, IT, Facilities, Fleet, etc.).The role is in Barcelona, belongs to the EMEA Procurement team and reports to the Procurement Manager.A strong performer can expect further career advancement within Ecolab and will have the opportunity to move into other procurement and supply chain leadership roles within the organization.This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career with a stable growing company!Main Responsibilities:Essential to have previous experience and/or exposure in Logistics.Acts as business owner for his/her categories (for a spend of a minimum of 5-15M), autonomously defining and executing sourcing strategies. Goals: improve reliability, get competitive pricing, seek for technical and commercial opportunities, reduce complexity, shorten lead times and much more. Is responsible for directly leading negotiations with suppliers.Applies, as sourcing methodology, the Total Delivered Cost (TDC) process and tools, from definition to implementation, to build and reinforce a best-in-class supply that meets the company goals.Keeps a global mindset, benchmarking regional strategies within the global sourcing team; leverages the Ecolab global scale to add value and maximize benefits.Leads saving projects or other initiatives to achieve team targets. Collaborates across RD&E, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Sales to ensure action plans and project milestones are met.Develops business continuity plans and risk assessments. Investigates, develops and drives actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders.Builds and maintains expert knowledge of respective categories, competition and innovations. Jointly works with the business to address questions and needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials and services.Education and Professional Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related fieldAcademic qualification in Sourcing and/or Negotiation is a plusFluent English level is a must; another European language is a plus3-5years of experience in International SourcingCompetencies:Procurement knowledge and strategic mindsetStrong problem solving and critical thinkingAdaptative negotiator with demonstrated experiences in different situationsTeam player with good interpersonal and communication skills that are critical in a team-driven, multi-functional environmentDemonstrated competitive drive, results oriented and passionate for achievementProject management basic knowledge (project chartering, milestone setting and tracking)#li-euSummaryLocation: ESP - Barcelona - Sant Joan DespiType: Full time
