Insurance Distribution Manager

SCF HQ is looking for an Insurance Distribution Manager, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.


Santander Consumer Finance focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centers or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

As an Insurance Distribution Manager, you will promote the insurance business development and ensure the consecution of the agreed business plans, in cooperation with the local Insurance Units of SCF Germany, SCF Poland, SCF Austria and SCF Switzerland.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Insurance Business Development in the countries in scope :

  • Optimization of distribution models and sales processes, including optimization of dealer remuneration schemes and dealer animation.

  • Optimization of the monitoring of the performance of the internal sales organization (e.g. Zone Manager monitoring).

  • Agreeing relevant insurance objectives and goals for the key functions in the local units, aligned with the agreed Business Plans, and monitoring of the results.

  • Identification and promotion of best practices identified in the market as well as internally.

  • Insurance Business Monitoring in the countries in scope :

  • Agreeing the Business Plans with the local Insurance Units and the Responsible for Planning.

  • Monitoring of the business results, and identification of possible gaps and opportunities, to ensure the consecution of the agreed business plans.

  • Regulatory compliance in the countries in scope :

  • Monitoring of audits and of the implementation of the resulting Audit recommendations, in coordination with the Responsible for PROGRESS/Regulatory Compliance.

  • Monitoring of the PROGRESS indicators and coordination of the action plans in case of deviations, in coordination with the Responsible for PROGRESS/Regulatory Compliance.


Minimum 5 years of experience in the consumer finance business, with a focus on distribution of consumer finance or related insurance products through PoS and other sales channels, e.g. in a sales network function.


University degree (Economics, Engineering,)


  • Commercial knowledge :

  • Commercial steering of PoS via remuneration schemes and animation.

  • Optimization of sales processes.

  • Optimization of sales techniques and commercial scripts.

  • Behavioural skills :

  • Interpersonal skills, including managing others by influence

  • Results-driven and decision-oriented

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Communication and presentation skills.

  • Languages :

  • English - High proficiency

  • Spanish - Medium proficiency

  • Desirable: German - Medium proficiency
