About the Job

We are looking for an experienced and motivated infrastructure engineer with strong experience who will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Cloud platforms as well as On-Prem platforms, overseeing and ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.

The availability, integrity, security and performance of our infrastructure will be your main motivation. You will be detail-oriented, proficient with technologies and hardware. You will also be responsible for upgrading and improving operating environments, creating repair strategies, and providing technical support and training for users.

About You

You will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems. You have good communication and collaboration skills, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responisbilities : Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues Provide technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue Performing high level systems administration of on-prem and cloud infrastructure Ensure delivered solutions are handed off operationally with appropriate documentation (e.g. best practices, design documents, run books) required Provide high level expertise in OS support more specifically Windows and Red Hat Linux. 3 + years hands-on experience with AWS core infrastructure components including expert level experience with IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, and RouteInstalling, maintaining and monitoring operating environments Manage incidents and requests across several disciplines (including, but not limited to) - Windows and Linux servers hosted on vSphere/ESXi and Cisco UCS/EMC or Dell storage Proactively monitor and resolve infrastructure service issues prior to escalation Liaise with managed hosting services to deliver first class services and vendor support Managing core operating systems and virtualization platforms including upgrades, configuration and patching Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability and security. Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively Administrator, build, and upgrade core business infrastructure including computing, storage, and disaster recovery systems Documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems Generating performance reports for operating systems. Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a documented remediation action plan Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices. Key skills you’ll have experience with : Windows Server 2012-2019 Red Hat Linux 6/7/8 Automation experience (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ansible Tower, Bash, Python) VMware vSphere 6.5 to 7 (VCSA, ESXi, DRS, HA, VUM) Proven experience with SCCM or other patching tools Change and incident management processes Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven experience supporting Cloud Platforms.

It would be a bonus if you had experience with : Cisco UCS Hyper Converged Platforms Cohesity (Backup, NAS, Helios) Dell EMC VxBlock or PowerFlex Enterprise Storage (VMAX, Isilon, NetApp) NetApp ONTAP CCA-N/ITIL/VCP/VCAP Certifications
