The Sustainability Vendor Compliance Manager will play a key role in leading a team across the Sustainability compliance landscape. Through collaboration with internal and external partners, this individual will oversee the engagement into our supply chain on product compliance and sustainability compliance matters, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support insight-driven initiatives across Global Sustainability. This role will dual report to Director, Procurement COE and Director Global Sustainability – Supply Chain.What will you do? Own the supplier engagement process for all matters linked to compliance, including Human Rights, Product compliance activity such as PFAS, and carbon footprint reporting from our supply base supporting CBAM.Closely partner with Procurement, Product compliance, IT, external partners, and across the Global Sustainability team to understand business needs, document requirements, define success measurements, prioritize, and lead change. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supplier landscape using lean methodologies.Assess and highlight opportunities and priorities for process improvements, standardization, and increased adoption related to insights within supply chain compliance.Communicate and guide vendors on sustainability data requirements, ensuring they understand and comply timely with requests.Ensure the use of digital platforms for supplier outreach and ensure data sets are aligned across the various platforms.Ensure tracking and reporting are available and updated to prepare regular reports for management and team members.Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to team members, ensuring goals and objectives are clearly defined. Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback and mentoring to help team members to succeed.Supervise and evaluate the team's performance, recognizing team members' achievements and addressing performance issues in a timely manner.Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external team members. Collaborate with other teams to achieve common goals and ensure effective cross-functional communication.Support other suppliers' reach-out activities that impact the company's reputation.EducationRequires a bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, data science, IT, finance, or engineering field.At least 5 years of work experience in Procurement or Supply ChainHigh level of English language proficiency (verbal and written).ExperienceOutstanding technical and problem-solving skills, especially related to complicated data challenges across many technological platforms.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, using metrics and indicators.Analytical skills to translate complicated data sets into consumable and actionable insights for a broad population.Experience leading technical projects in a matrixed environment.Robust project management skills and capabilities (Gantt charts, dashboards, key results, case development).Ability to efficiently organize forums and coordinate communication with team members.Excellent communication proficiencies for structuring ideas clearly and concisely with technical and functional partners at various levels of the organization.Influential business leader with a consistent record in establishing relationships across functions.Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail aligned with high standards of quality and excellence.Benefits:We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus scheme, healthcare, company pension, and a range of employee benefits!Thermo Fisher Scientific offers employment with an innovative, forward-thinking organization, and outstanding career and development prospects.
