The role is for a highly autonomous project manager who has experience of managing large-scale, global projects with significant capital investment. The project manager is responsible for scoping all projects, identifying resources and vendors to deliver, obtaining budget approval, and having a clear project plan to deliver and communicate deadlines to all departments across a changing and complex landscape.   • 5-8 years of experience
  • Barcelona-based (or very nearby)
  • Core of IT project management experience - ideally 4-8 years’ experience with most of that as a PM
  • Experience working on multi-national or global projects
  • Experience managing projects of >€1m (ideally >€5-10m)
  • Experience working with / managing vendors
  • Experience working with and engaging senior stakeholders (i.e. on steering committees) - ideally C-suite

What we want

We are ideally looking for someone with a history of working in key, global projects with both software and hardware components. The person should be able to connect different items of delivery to large strategic goals and possess a blend of functional and technical skills. A mix of experience across agile and waterfall methodologies will be advantageous, and exposure to managing global vendors will be critical.

  • Extensive relevant project management experience
  • Good negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Organised and analytical mind-set.
  • Multi-tasking across multiple projects.
  • Coordinating of project teams by providing direction, input and feedback.
  • Experience in working across global markets / multiple geographical locations.
  • C-level experience both internal and customer facing.
  • Experience in retail or real estate industries is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies & tools.
  • Formal professional qualifications within project / program management (PMP or Prince 2) highly valued.
