How will you contribute to the team Audit and verify electrical distribution construction performed by Construction Contractors. Chair Pre-Job meetings and attend on site pre-construction readiness meetings. On daily basis for projects assigned: Complete field audit and prepare daily site log with photos of all activities. Review JSA, sign on to tailboard, verify contractor-s safe work practices are followed. Verify quality of construction i.e., built to standards and as per field drawings. Witness Critical tasks and maintain test records. Identify and any hazardous conditions in the vicinity of the project sites. Mark-up IFC drawings, work completed and any field changes. Verify Contractors marked up drawings for partial energization for O.Reg. / compliance. Verify Design-Build Contractors compliance to THESL Rule Book, EUSR, THESL Standards, OHSA, applicable Regulations and Guidelines (e.g., MTO Book 7, MCR, etc.). Issue Safety Non-Conformance reports and monitor Contractor-s corrective and preventative actions for violations of safe work practices, procedures or regulatory requirements. Participate in incident reporting/review process as necessary. Issue Quality Non-Conformance reports for deficiencies or non-adherence to construction standards and monitor Contractor-s corrective actions. Verify work units for monthly progress billing and for project close out. Evaluate and process Change Orders initiated by Contractors. Record and on any public / customer complaints including customer trust violations and property damage. Perform final walk down to ensure scope of work completed and ready for intended service. Prepare deficiency. Review and verify Contractor-s Project Close-Out documentation and deliverables and participate in Project Close-out/Lessons Learned meeting as required. What will you contribute - Graduated from an Electrical Post-Secondary Engineering or Technical program. Strong knowledge of Electrical distribution systems and/or Electrical Utility construction experience. Past Utilities, Construction and/or Inspection experience would be an asset. Ability to interpret design drawings and standards. Must have valid class G driver-s license and access to a working vehicle for field audits. Proficient withcomputers and familiar with MS Office Suite. Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons of the year and flexible on working hours. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete deliverables on time. Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with mínimal supervision. Positive attitude and self-accountable. Must be bondable.
