Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Regional SQA Manager your mission will be to coordinate of all the SQA activities part of project launches, transfers and main changes. Likewise, to perform the corresponding supplier and documentation audits to ensure the fulfillment of all the milestones and timings or/and contain and prevent quality issues foreseeing roadblocks and troubles and solving/escalating them. Audit and validate new suppliers.

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)

  • Investigate quality issues on components reported at the line, supported by QE, IE, PE and materials for correct problem description
  • Gather information for QN Issue, support from clerk/inspector: Supplier site ID, where-used, trace/pattern information, part history (for repeat issues)
  • Properly word and issue QN, word and issue Lear Alert, contact supplier for notification and containment requirements.
  • Set-up containment where required (Supplier, Plant, Warehouse / DC, customer) at supplier cost/responsibility (Commit supplier, get P.O.)
  • Review Root Cause with supplier for open QN’s. Ensure proper tools are used for real root cause determination
  • Review Corrective Actions until validated, maintain certified material until then
  • Assign Controlled Shipping containment levels 1 and 2 (CS-I & CS-II) for repeat occurrences or critical issues
  • Consolidate non-conforming material quantities, request RMA’s from supplier and manage approvals / returns
  • Consolidate quality costs incurred by plant for recovery from supplier. Analyze plant information, issue chargeback, submit to Finance
  • Request and conduct meeting with suppliers, plants and other affected parties (customers) for problem resolution.
  • Elevate QN’s or support requests (containment) to SDE / Central Purchasing due to poor supplier response, Lear-wide issues, and customer or legal complications
  • Run metric and performance reports for plant quality administrative summaries

To be a success in this role you must have :

  • Engineering degree Electrical/Electronics/Telecomunications or PhD in Phisics
  • Fluent in English every second lenguaje is a plus.
  • Experience in Quality in automotive field is a must, in Electronics or electronic components knowledge is a plus
