Senior PHP Developer

We’re looking for PHP Developers to join our international team. This is a hybrid role based in Barcelona, Spain, however, we're considering candidates nationwide. You will be working closely with the Product Manager to provide our clients with a solid, robust and modern product. You are also expected to provide assistance to less senior team mates, do code reviews and ensure code standards are being followed. Responsibilities Refactor existing code to improve performance, readability, maintainability, and scalability Take a lead role in projects, setting the technical direction and supervising the work of other developers Develop new features and maintain the server-side web-based applications Contribute to the design of new features of the platform Help triage and fix software defects Take a lead role in promoting high quality, standards compliant code in an efficient Agile process, by contributing critical code-review feedback and representing and challenging our application of Agile principles Requirements Minimum 3 years of commercial experience 2 years of commercial experience with Symfony framework Professional experience with developing server-side web based applications SOLID experience with Object-oriented and various Design Patterns  Strong knowledge and experience of working in an Agile environment Experience of code-review and peer-feedback processes Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs Proficiency with git Experience with distributed applications and event driven systems  The following will make you stand out as a candidate: Experience with Docker Expertise with deploying code using multiple programming languages Familiarity with AWS Tooling Experience with TDD Experience with DDD Experience in refactoring monolithic applications into SOA  Benefits We offer a generous package, including: Competitive salary Company stock options 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays A day off to celebrate your birthday A day off for your wellbeing Shorter working hours on Fridays A strong company values framework, including paid leave for volunteering with approved charities Regular team building activities Training & development allowance New employee referral scheme This is a unique opportunity to join a VC-funded high growth SaaS business where we all share a passion to work together to build a great product and a great company.
