SANTANDER DIGITAL SERVICES is looking for a WORKPLACE ARCHITECT, based mainly in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid.**

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As an Workplace Architect your mission will be evolve and design architecture and technology stack to cover the needs and requirements of internal end users workplace and to define and standardize corporate buildings, branches and ATM solutions and IT components, ensuring that all systems are working at optimal levels and supporting the development of new technologies and system requirements.

We need somebody like you to help us in different fronts to:

  • Model the hardware and base software elements across an enterprise and the relationship between them, considering user experience, functionality, resilience, capacity, performance, manageability and some others capabilities.

EXPERIENCE

  • +5 years’ experience as Workplace Infrastructure Architect or similar.
  • Be used to the Agile ways of working.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish written and spoken.

EDUCATION

  • University Degree.
  • Post-graduate will be a plus.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Evaluate technology, market trends and industry plus identify prospective impact on business. Main focus on Compute, Storage and Network areas, mainly on-prem environments, private cloud included:

  • Analyze System Requirements.

  • Recommend Alternative Technologies and Improvements.

  • Lead Design and Review of New Systems.

  • Plan for Integration.

  • Evaluate Projects.

  • Methods and tools to develop a blueprint for the future state of IT; ability to develop the roadmap of it, while aligning the architecture and processes with business strategies and objectives.

  • Tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

  • Knowledge of and the ability to design and improve organizational IT structures in order to better support end user operations.

  • Knowledge of and the ability to design, implement and integrate IT hardware for its use in business users environments.

  • Strong Technical & Software Architecture background, including branches and ATM backend technologies in some of the following:

  • End user IT components and technologies

  • Virtual Environments, operating systems (VDI, PC virtualized)

  • Storage and backup solutions

  • Wireline, wireless and hybrid network infrastructure

  • Resiliency, DR, capacity planning and performance.
