WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Data Platform Technical Architect, you will be central to constructing and overseeing the Group's Data Platform. This platform is designed to seamlessly manage data across the group, ensuring efficient, secure, and user-friendly data accessibility. As Manager of Data Platform, you will play a pivotal role in shaping this innovative technological platform.**

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

• Implement and manage the Group's Data Architecture within the Technology & Operations (T&O) division, ensuring alignment with the broader Santander One Transformation vision.
• Collaborate closely with both global and local teams, facilitating the implementation of Data Architecture across different units within the Group.
• Design, develop, and manage advanced data solutions and architectures, utilizing the latest technologies in data management.
• Enhance and maintain the Operational & Analytic Data platform, focusing on user experience, automation, and a clear roadmap for data management.
• Promote the adoption of shared assets within the platform, balancing the needs of different entities in a collaborative manner.
• Ensure that the technology platform supports a governed and quality Group Data Inventory, allowing secure, reliable and real-time access to data products.
• Led and implemented the data architecture strategy within the Group's entities and businesses, ensuring alignment with Santander's global initiatives.
• Oversee the recruitment and performance of key Data Architecture roles within T&O, such as Enterprise Data Architect and Technical Data Architect.

EXPERIENCE

• Extensive experience as a Data Architect, preferably in cloud-based data platforms and real-time solutions within a financial institution.
• Minimum of 7 years in the financial services industry, with senior roles in global banking environments being advantageous.

EDUCATION

• STEM Bachelor’s Degree required, with Master's, technical certifications, and/or MBA is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in data analysis, system architecture, or specific technologies.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• In-depth knowledge of data technologies and hands-on experience in BI, DWH, Query Engines, and virtualization technologies.
• Proven experience in Marketing and CRM data integration.
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate across various units and locations.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving them towards successful project completions.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Experience in balancing project scope, time, cost, risk, and quality, achieving agreements in line with the Data strategy.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, with Portuguese being a plus.
