Knowledge Graph Engineer

Job Description We're looking for an experienced (middle/senior) Knowledge Graph Engineer to join our team to participate in one of our top pharmaceuticals’ clients project. Graph engineer with hands-on software engineering skills to join the product team building knowledge graphs, ontologies, taxonomies, and software solutions based on them. The focus of the team is to leverage the full potential of historical clinical trial data for insight and evidence generation beyond a single clinical development project. Main Tasks: Contribute to technical design and implementation of the solutions. Design and implement software solutions based on the technology stack of the product team and high-level requirements given by the product owner. Find and evaluate existing taxonomies and ontologies that may be applicable for the solutions and data domain. Or develop them from scratch if it is no possible to re-use. Work closely with subject matter experts to capture and refine information structures central to their work. Work with data scientists to better understand how standardized terminologies can be leveraged to reduce the time it takes to clean and harmonize data before models can be built. Build strong relationships with cross-functional team members and business stakeholders. Work collaboratively with the technology, UI/UX, and IT organizations to ensure alignment with business goals of the product team. Requirements Experience in applying Semantic Web technologies in an industry setting, or practical experience as part of an academic, Library Science or Knowledge Management career. Sound understanding of knowledge representation and Semantic Web technologies (RDFS/OWL, RDF, SPARQL, SHACL, SKOS, etc.) including ontology/taxonomy modelling, data integration, data unification, knowledge graph design. Hands-on experience with RDF stores and related technologies, e.g., Stardog, AWS Neptune. Hands-on experience with mapping techniques, such as R2RML and RML, for transforming relational/tabular datasets into RDF formats. Hands-on experience in design and implementation of both frontend and backend parts of software solutions. Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team in Agile/Scrum settings. Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and take ownership and accountability on assigned tasks driving execution through completion while being part of a collaborative team. Good communication skills - be an effective, passionate, trusted advocate and communicator for knowledge graph approach and Semantic Web technologies. Nice to have Experience with AWS or similar cloud offerings. Experience with metaphactory platform Familiarity with Life Science domain, e.g., clinical trial, drug product, compound, etc.
