Purpose of the role: In this role you will be joining our dedicated DevOps team, bringing your enthusiasm, knowledge and ideas on how to improve and scale our deployment processes. Our software engineering teams take advantage of DevOps methodologies to predictably and reliably release product enhancements in the Proton ecosystem. We use CI/CD pipelines that rely on a combination of on-premise and cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes which we need your help to scale. Planning ahead, automation and reliability are key to supporting the growth of our users and dev teams at Proton.What you will do: Join a distributed team tasked with improving how we run apps with the help of KubernetesWork with our CI/CD environments to further improve our deployment processesDebug and fix build and deployment issuesCreate consistent local and remote dev environmentsDocument and share your work so others in and outside the DevOps team can solve problems and contribute effectively We need you to have: Proven production experience deploying, maintaining and tuning K8s clustersExperience building, maintaining and fixing CI/CD systemsDemonstrable knowledge of high availability applications/systemsExperience working with public and private cloud platformsComfortable coding and switching between different languagesSkills in building monitoring and tooling solutionsExperience working with globally distributed infrastructure Bonus points for: Experience with K8s on-premise deploymentsExperience with K8s architecture and scaling challengesExperience with Infrastructure as CodeSecuring container images, deployments and pipelinesFamiliarity working with Python, Go, Node or PHPExperience with GitLab and Gilab CIFamiliar with Jira/Confluence Why should you join Proton?
