Introduction As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities : Define strategy with respect to enterprise related standards and design goals; provide technical design and architectural leadership, including documenting and diagramming the logical and physical, and process views across multiple technology domains.
Facilitate organizational change by defining strategies for the banking clients with respect to technology standards, industry models (such as BIAN) and design goals; evaluate business requirements in the early stages of projects to determine what software, integration technologies, system architectures and patterns should be employed to meet business objectives efficiently; participate in the development of roadmaps, which include product selection, implementations, data migrations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
Identify and advise clients on emerging technology solutions in the retail and commercial banking businesses that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide more value, capabilities, reduce risks and increase security.
Communicate best practices by giving presentations, working with project teams, and authoring content aimed at educating others about standards, strategies, and otherwise defined best practices
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrable experience in core banking transformation projects, including developing project plans and budgets for successful IT projects
Experience in a consulting organization including consultative-based selling of technology transformation projects, documenting and presenting recommendations to clients and/or stakeholders
Fluent English and Spanish
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with DevSecOps usage, and definition of DevSecOps tools, methods and processes recommendations
Experience in BIAN usage as a reference model for designing new core banking solutions or modernizing the legacy platform
Experience in using Domain Driven Design (DDD), event storming methods and Agile methodologies at work
Experience in data migration and transformation (RDBMS, NoSQL, etc.)
Experience in leading architects teams as part of a Design authority function in a core banking transformation or implementation project
Experience and knowledge of IBM Z and RedHat OpenShift
Certification in RedHat or Architect certification in one or more of the prominent Public Clouds (IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP)
