QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGER BARCELONA

Important multinational company in the nutrition industry is looking for a Quality and Environmental Manager , based in Barcelona .

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality and Environmental Manager will mainly develop and promote quality and environmental systems while achieving business objectives.
  • Ensure all the factory process and protocols comply with the national law and business objectives from a sustainable perspective.
  • Deliver improvements in quality performance by focusing on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support and advice operations core teams in the management of quality, HACCP and environmental systems.
  • Ensure the maintenance and development of management systems for each area and retain accreditation.
  • Ensure smooth and good performance of internal and external audits.
  • Identification and treatment of any claims and nonconformities.
  • Build effective partnerships with suppliers, regulatory bodies and government agencies.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of site training in quality, safety and environment.
  • Drive site waste, water & emissions management strategy.
  • Collaboration with Quality Director to maintain the Company quality standards and achieve the challenges of the business.
  • Collaboration with Plant Manager and industrial teams to ensure the quality, environmental and safety protocols and needs.
  • Collaboration with Quality and Environmental Managers in other countries to acquire and promote best practices between sites.

Requirement

  • University Degree in engineering, science or a related field.
  • RSPP Training required or highly desirable.
  • Complementary environmental education required or highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of general experience within Quality, health, safety and environment field preferably in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of Italian regulation and experience addressing needs and requests of local regulators (Provincia, Regione, ASL).
  • Experience handling external entities and laboratories.
  • Specific experience in developing, managing and auditing of Quality Systems within the food industry.
  • An experienced people manager with the ability to lead and mentor teams.
  • Experience in accident and incident investigation.
  • Team player with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have analytical experience; be accurate with statistics and written reports. Well organized and exercise sound judgement in decision-making.
  • High level of English is a must. Spanish and French are highly desirable.
