Science & Nutrition Manager

Position Summary

Lead and act as the Product Science & Nutrition COE to NPP EUROPE to provide all facts and science to substantiate the product range and input to all related communication material, mostly for PPVD and PP and to a larger extend the entire NPPE brand portfolio. Is organised by condition type and works mainly in support to the PPVD Condition type product manager and the B2B Business Content Manager organised around Condition types.

What you'll do

  • Be the single poing of contact for Technical, scientific & Nutrition support at European level and act as the COE for science and nutrition development needs across Europe on PRO PLAN VETERINARY DIETS (PPVD) and PRO PLAN (PP) in priority (and 20% of time to support omnichannel brand needs).
  • To be the key Product scientific expert and support all key function requiring scientific and nutritional support, with priority to PPVD and PP brand - work closely with PPVD product manager and Content manager
  • Support the work on Claims proposal and the scientific substantiation and evidence work to support the claim. Delivers Pet Feeding guidelines
  • Develop and maintain up to date a "Customer Engagement Service" (CES) playbook that acts as a support document at market level for all "after sales" Support targeted at Vets and Clinincs (CES for Vets)
  • To be the technical support fo all the R&D interface related to nutritional requirements and the RSA interface for all the legal and claims validation process
  • Ensure and lead the product registration process in the markets
  • Provides Science & Tech lead to B2C Mktg and Omnichannel brands
  • Provides the scientific input to the content manager for any comms related playbook (eg input to the Purina Academy, content playbook)
  • Work in close collaboration with the corresponding PPVD Product Manager and the Brand Content Manager for a set of pre-defined condition type (HA, WM, GI, IM,...) assigned by Vet BU head
  • Drive the annual B2B Competitive review of the Portfolio and monitors 60/40 process (both on medical condition superiority as well as palatability / product performance) in collaboration with Science and Nutrition manager
  • Develop and implement all training materials for PRO PLAN product launches and general nutrition training (PNQ, trade training, etc)

What will make you successfull

  • Minimum 3-4 years in technical communication
  • Veterinary education (ideally a post graduate level in nutrition)
  • Experience in companion animals pharma industry or in petfood industry
  • Extended experience in training
  • Formal communication skills (minimum skills in message house and creating storyboards are required)
  • An extended knowledge of touch points for professional audiences including the value of digital communications
