Senior Driveability Calibration Engineer

Responsible for planning and supervising the activities of the driveability and acceleration performance development team for assigned project(s). Execution by himself of in-vehicle calibration activities. His main objective is to ensure the achievement of the project performance targets for acceleration performance and driveability.Main tasks and responsibilities:Daily planning and control of driveability development team activities for assigned project(s)Teamwork coordination among the 3 groups responsible each for Calibration, Acceleration Measurements and EvaluationFormal reporting development status to Project Stakeholders at milestones, events and at any necessityTo define, request and monitor necessary engineering servicesTo lead the organization and execution of test missions in extreme conditions of altitude, altitude and hot climate, altitude and cold climate and extreme cold climateTo analyze the requirements of the vehicle project to be developed and estimate the necessary needed resourcesTo prepare and report the deliverables defined for the assigned project(s)To analyze the technical information and Team’s countermeasure proposalsTo lead and support the analysis of technical problemsTo ensure that the team follows the development proceduresTo support the understanding of the achievement level for Driveability and Acceleration Performance of the main Stakeholders in the Company during driving events organized for this purposeBackground and experience: Master Science Engineering degree in mechanical/automotive.Well-founded knowledge of vehicle dynamics (powertrain oriented).Proven Calibration experience (approx. 10 years) of those powertrain control functions directly determining Driveability and Acceleration performance in the relevant control units (for Electric vehicles, Hybrid vehicles, Internal Combustion Engine vehicles, Automatic Transmissions).Proficient with INCA/MDA data measurement and analysis and user knowledge of vehicle instrumentation.Availability for frequent travelling and vehicle testing even in most extreme environmental conditions.Must: English and Spanish fluent, spoken and written.
