As part of the Resource Management team the Capacity Planning Analyst will be responsible for capturing current workload data and analysing future resource requirements to support capacity planning process within the Global Project Engineering (GPE) department in the EMEA region.

What we offer: :Person(s) in this position will establish the proper Sales & Operating Planning rhythm among the key stakeholders in EMEA (such as the Commercial, Solution Development, Project Management, Engineering teams) in order to collect “real time” data related to engineering resources’ demand and capacity.

S\he will also have access to multiple data sources such as Salesforce (new business), SAP (ongoing projects), proprietary Excel based trackers and registers to consolidate them in the form of workload charts and dashboards. This will be used to identify engineering resource capacity/demand gaps on a level of detail deep enough to be able to drive accurate and timely hiring and training decisions across EMEA. S\he will also use the results of this analysis to provide current GPE resource lead times and support discussion with Sales, Global Training and Operations Planning teams.

This position will interact with both Sales and Engineering Leaders to ensure the demand and current resource capabilities are accurately captured, the results of analysis presented in consistent and understandable way to all stakeholders, including Global Capacity Demand Management teams. This position will execute these tasks systematically, aligning deliverables to the company operating rhythm, using available tools along with best internal and industry practices.

Where required, they may support initiatives by analysing data and producing new results for the Continuous Improvement efforts.

Tasks and Qualifications: : Core Accountabilities :

  • Works with EMEA Engineering and Project Delivery teams to capture current resource allocations and available capacity (both indirect and direct) for all disciplines and respective cost centres, including external resources
  • Obtains and converts EMEA SIOP Sales data, published by EMEA SIOP team on monthly bases to qualified engineering workload (by discipline, technology and geography)
  • Organizes and conducts regular (aim - weekly) reviews with Sales teams across all EMEA markets to validate current SIOP data and capture any deviations, which may significantly affect capacity and resource allocation plans
  • Partners with GPE HR in defining and tracking the hiring plans
  • Works with Project Staffing Planner(s) to provide heads up on upcoming significant resource demands (e.g. Class A projects) and maintain current engineering resource qualifications register
  • Builds workload charts with clearly indicated future demand categories for current projects and new business, including possible forecasted scenarios of “What If” sales leads and conducts analysis of resource gaps against current and planned capacity
  • Presents results of capacity/demand analysis and suggested mitigation strategy to Resource Director and Engineering discipline leaders for further validation and approval
  • Communicates EMEA GPE workload, capacity and hiring plans data to Financial Controllers, Global SIOP (Capacity Demand Management) team
  • Going forward - participates in specifying, trialling and adoption of future capacity planning toolset as chosen by the organization
