Position: Junior CFRP Design Engineer Location: Jumilla, Murcia, Spain Hiring Model: On-site Who are we? ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance. We seek a Staff CFRP Manufacturing Engineer to join our Missions and Manufacturing Department based in Jumilla, Spain. About the role: You will interface directly with design engineering teams in Espoo, Finland headquarters and introduce CFRP designs into the manufacturing flow, that includes analysis and review of manufacturing drawings and seamlessly create the manufacturing procedures and steps for the manufacturing of those. Additionally will pursue improvement of manufacturing layout, processes and work along QA to improve yield and overall manufacturing capacity. Responsibilities: New design introduction into the manufacturing line Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for CFRP components, including the fiber layup, curing, machining, and finishing processes Material Selection and Testing Tooling Design and Fabrication Quality Assurance Manufacturing line training: Rapid growth of the Factory Requirements Experience in CFRP manufacturing processes and optimization Hands on experience in mechanical engineering and mechanisms Theoretical knowledge in CFRP technologies Awareness of CFRP technologies and techniques for CFRP manufacturing Familiar with NDT machines and techniques  Experience in CFRP quality standards Fluent in English and Spanish (mandatory) Benefits A job that matters in a dynamic New Space environment with a scale-up approach Competitive Salary An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment Time for self-development, research, training, language lessons, conferences, or certification schemes Diversity & inclusion are core values at ICEYE.
