VHIR offers a vacant position for an Innovation manager to lead the innovation unit as a part of the Business
individuals and position the Institution as a world referent in Biomedical Research according our Strategic
Plan.***
JOB DESCRIPTION
Education and qualifications : Required: -
Degree or PhD in Life Sciences preferred (such as biology, chemistry, pharmacy)
Desired: -
MSc in Business Administration and/or MSc in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship
Experience and knowledge :
- 3 - 5 years of experience working in knowledge and technology transfer units managing a team.
- Proven knowledge of agents and innovation systems within biomedical research environments (local, national and international)
- Deep knowledge of the healthcare, industry and pharmaceutical sector.
- Experience in project management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Catalan, Spanish and English.
- Basic understanding of Legal and Compliance topics
- Negotiating and influencing skills.
- Solution and goal oriented working style

Main responsibilities and duties : The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Lead the innovation team and responsible for the provision of a challenging and stimulating environment for its development
- Design, coordinate and monitoring of all the action plan and objectives of the unit, according with the Area strategy and report to the Business Development Area Director.
- Plan, coordinate and monitoring of all training activities related to the innovation Area.
- Provide coaching in innovation related topics throughout the whole institution and its partners.
- Actively promote the innovation culture and entrepreneurship environment.
- Drive collaborations with external R&D partners from academia, biotech, industry or public organizations to generate value for the VHIR’s innovation pipeline.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem and scouting for breakthrough early stage opportunities.
Labour conditions: -
Full-time: 40h/week.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
