  • Description : ** As a Laboratory Technician of the Avionics Team, you will be responsible for the management, organization and maintenance of the avionics laboratory, as well as provide support to the procurement and assembly activities for the avionics components. : **Responsabilities* : Laboratory Management**:

  • Manage the input/output items flow in the avionics laboratory. :

  • Inspect and perform quality checks on newly delivered equipment to ensure proper operation. :

  • Perform products claims and returns. :

  • Manage and control the avionics laboratory inventory stock. :

  • Prepare and ship material for manufacturing orders. :

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, reparation and calibration tasks of the avionics laboratory and its equipment. :

  • Lead the organization and changes of the laboratory according to the work needs. :

  • Manage the organization, lab space and ensure compliance with the rules of use of the laboratory. :

  • Conduct laboratory safety audits and reviews. :

  • Collect material and components needs to manage purchase orders via Supply Chain. :

  • Work with distributors and vendors to obtain pricing and availability of needed parts for the avionics laboratory. :

  • Provide support on the generation of Bill of Materials (BoMs) and their review before proceeding with procurement. :

  • Identify laboratory needs and establish continuous improvement solutions to ease the day-to-day work. : Documentation :

  • Elaborate normative, procedures and rules of use for the avionics laboratory. :

  • Create service and repair records of laboratory equipment. :

  • Interfaces :

  • Provide interface with other team members to collect any purchase need for the avionics laboratory. :

  • Provide a link interface between the avionics engineering team and supply chain to speed up the procurement process of any component. :

  • Interface with the Warehouse Team to manage the input/output flow of items are carried on schedule. :

  • Interface with other avionics technicians to support the manufacturing and assembly of avionics components and test benches. : Required competencies :

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate in electrical/electronic disciplines. :

  • 4+ years related job experience in similar field. :

  • 4+ years of experience with management of laboratory inventory stocks. :

  • 2+ years of experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment. :

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment such as DMM, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, etc. :

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronics components, both active and passive elements. :

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and good practices for ESD sensitive components. :

  • Capability to solve problems with mínimal supervision. :

  • Excellent organization skills. :

  • Flexible and strong work ethic that would strive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. :

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with other disciplines. :

  • Fluency in verbal and written communication, both Spanish and English. : Desired competencies :

  • Proficiency with Odoo. :

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. :

  • Experience with crimping and soldering, both SMD and THT. :

  • Experience using SMT Pick and Place Machines. :

  • Understanding of electronic schematics and engineering drawings. :

  • Experience with reparation of electrical and electronic components. :

  • Experience working in the aerospace industry. :

  • Knowledge of ISO/ASNE standards. : Others :
