The Sr. Operations Manager - Digital Services is responsible for the operations strategy of Straumann Group´s proprietary implantology and CAD/CAM prosthetic digital services. This portfolio comprises end-to-end digital workflows for surgical treatment planning and restorative design of patient-specific medical devices for dentistry, including integrated clinical concierge services. This position will play a key role in developing the next generation of Straumann digital services, supporting the long-term strategic aspirations of the fast-growing digital business unit.

The Sr. Operations Manager - Digital Services reports directly to the Global Head of Digital Services Operations, and is a highly collaborative role that works closely with the planning / design and manufacturing centers in different countries, cross-functionally with other Straumann business units, and especially with the Software & Digital Services Product Management team. The role is global in scope, based in Bilbao, Spain.

Tasks

  • Lead and execute the operations strategy of Straumann Group Digital Services, working with a global cross-functional team to maximize customer-centricity and profitability.
  • Map and continuously monitor all internal and external processes for Straumann Group digital services. Collaborate closely with the service concierge teams, manufacturing sites and product management to optimize the customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to integrate and harmonize interfaces, workflows and business processes to drive efficiency and transparency of digital services operations
  • Lead the global expansion of Straumann digital services from an operational perspective, according to established frameworks and regional requirements
  • Implement standard operating setup and procedures to optimize service scalability.
  • Address any operational issues the team faces to ensure continuous operation.
  • Perform regular KPI analysis to identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that the digital services fulfil internal and external regulatory and quality requirements by working together with different departments.

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, life sciences or business.
  • Minimum 10 years total professional work experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience and proven success in operations, customer success and/or project management
  • Minimum 5 years experience successfully leading teams and / or complex projects with significant budget responsibility
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional global projects from start to finish
  • Experience in the medical device or dental industry is considered a strong asset
  • Certification in project management and/or scrum is considered a strong asset
  • Experience in process optimization based on lean manufacturing is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, other languages are an asset
  • Comfortable with up to 20% travel
