Job Description: Reviews daily abuse reports to the Florida Hotline to determine the mandatory referrals forthe Department of Children and Families to consult with CPT, per state statute. Determinessituations requiring a medical examination or further testing/ hospital services/record reviews and inconjunction with supervisors and medical director. Provides diagnostic evaluations and medical consultations regarding abused and neglectedchildren under the direction of the Medical Director. Takes patient histories, conducts physicalexaminations, and records the data in the patient’s record; writes progress notes and narrativedischarge summaries; prepares patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive andnegative findings. Prepares medical reports. Consults with Case Coordinators, Program Coordinators and participates in Case Reviewsand Team Staffing's. Refers children exhibiting abnormal findings for additional physician evaluation.Provides physician and pharmacist referrals to patients in need of further medical care and services. Provides depositions and court testimony as required. Maintains inventory and ordering of medical supplies, assisting with recertification of cliniclicensing and applications for medical supplies. Contributes to the development, implementation, and expansion of programs and initiatives.Participates in meetings, functions, events, and committees, as well as in a team of interdisciplinaryhealth care providers. Performs all other duties, as assigned. Expected Salary: $, to $, annually depending on education and experience. Minimum Requirements: Masters' degree with a major in nursing or another health-related area. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter , Florida Statutes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatrics, sexual and physical abuse.
