Our client, an important multinational in the life science sector, is searching for a Hospitals Business Unit Director Hospitals Business Unit Director Barcelona/Madrid (Spain) Ref: FH5887 March 9, CHEMISTRY AND PHARMACEUTICAL FUNCTIONS Our client, an important multinational in the life science sector, is searching for a Hospitals Business Unit Director.In this role, you will establish strategies and develop marketing programs to maximize market opportunities. You will lead cross functionally with other departments to develop added-value programs and you will generate strong relationships with main customers. You will manage change creating a new strategic vision to support the transformation in the sector. Main responsibilities: The incumbent will lead the Hospitals Business Unit to ensure the company reaches EBITDA goals, identifying and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives while increasing the service excellence and the business profitability. Reporting to the CCO, the Hospital Business Director is responsible for all the commercial and technical activities for the Hospitals organization. Overall responsibility for managing the sales, achieving growth, and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets. Develop and implement commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives adapted to the new tendencies in the market. Clearly communicate insights and information to a broad team of stakeholders. To have the pulse of the marketplace, analyse the competitive landscape and craft a commercial policy accordingly to reach company goals and objectives. Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture new products/services growth. Understand existing customer relationships and their requirements to ensure they are being met. Act as key business partner with senior client stakeholders (hospital general managers, insurance general managers, regional Ministers of Health, etc.). Providing feedback on market trends, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings to balance profit with customer satisfaction. Providing guidance and on-the-ground supportfor the regional commercial teams to ensure compliance and alignment with the commercial policy to reach the objectives. Drive brand awareness and lead generation via networking, associations, and lobby for companys interest. Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team. Hospitals Proforma P&L accountability. Provide an excellent technical service level to hospitals. Ensure the technical organization is adequate to serve the current market conditions and is prepared to develop new business opportunities. Lead and promote introduction of latest technical advances to make the company stay at the leading edge and ahead of competition. Ensure projects are managed timely and cost effective.Requirements Degree education in Life Sciences or similar. Proven leadership ability and extensive knowledge of the hospital's business. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes. Strong working knowledge of metrics to monitor the performance of commercial activities and reporting results to senior management. Proven experience as commercial director or another relevant role. Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset. Health Market knowledge is a must. Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
