The Team : In this role you will report to a Tax Director and be based in Madrid. This function is part of the wider Finance organization at Celonis.

* The Role : The work you’ll do :

  • Manage the preparation of EMEA income tax compliance working closing with third party service providers and a variety of teams within Celonis
  • Compute global transfer pricing adjustments and manage preparation of global transfer pricing documentation with third party services providers
  • Maintain transfer pricing agreements and monitor the operations of the business to support tax planning and compliance with transfer pricing regulations
  • Prepare technical tax research memos and clearly communicate technical concepts to various users
  • Maintain tax records, returns and audit-ready documentation of responsible filings
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory tax accruals and components of the global tax provision
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase overall efficiency of the compliance process
  • Assist with the day-to-day tax operations of our growing business
  • Partner with business leaders, tax, finance, treasury, legal, and external advisers on various business initiatives and tax planning

The qualifications you need :

  • 8+ years general corporate tax experience within global multinational and/or public accounting with experience in EMEA income tax compliance
  • Experience with operational transfer pricing
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines; ability to work in a cross-functional and with cross-border teams in a fast-paced, complex, global environment
  • Sound judgment and ability to effectively communicate recommendations regarding tax issues
  • Familiar with tax accounting and international tax issues relevant to position preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Degree in Taxation or similar
  • Professional experience in Excel
