Verisure is looking for a Group Internal Control Manager to join the expanding Group Internal Control team, which works as a 2nd line of defense to safeguard the Verisure Group’s internal control environment and ensure reliable financial reporting.As a Group Internal Control Manager, you will have a key role in improving the internal control environment in the Verisure Group, which currently operates in 17 countries in Europe and Latin America. You will collaborate with different departments to assess existing controls, find areas of improvement, and establish effective internal control procedures. Focus will be on Iberia/Latam markets as a key resource for the Group. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, solid analytical skills, and the ability to communicate well across all levels of the organization. Also, the digital transformation strategy focused on enhancing and optimizing risk mitigation strategies.In this position, you will get the opportunity to be part of expanding the Group Internal Control Function to Spain and hire new resources that will report to you. The current team of 3 resources is based in Sweden but will grow to different locations in the next years. You will report to Group Head of Internal Control based in Malmö, Sweden. This role will involve travelling to different markets.The Group Internal Control team at Verisure will be a crucial part of any corporate transaction, possibly including an IPO. This scenario presents a critical and unparalleled learning opportunity, improving the risk maturity level and further enhancing the structure for reliable risk assurance in financial reporting. LocationThe role will take place in Madrid. The Group Finance team in total consists of 45 members, based in Geneva, Malmö, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris, and Linköping. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead testing procedures to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.Further expand the team in Spain with new resources.Reporting of findings, recommendations, and action plans.Lead follow-up on the reported findings or internal control gaps.Identify and report weaknesses, inefficiencies, or potential risks within various business processes across the organization.Subject matter expert for Risk and Internal control for the business.Develop and implement strategies to enhance the internal control framework.Lead the development of mitigation strategies through proactive risk assessments.Collaborate with local teams and other departments within the organization on various projects related to risk assessments and internal control, such as Group Compliance and Group InfoSec including the ITGC team.Collaborate with external auditors during audit periods.Provide guidance to local teams across the organization on internal control best practices.Embark on the digitalization journey, including providing support for automated controls.Stay informed about industry developments, emerging risks, and regulatory changes.Support in the implementation of a GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) tool.Lead the ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) process for a number of markets.Candidate profileWe believe that you have 5+ years of experience in external audit, internal audit, risk management, or related roles. As a person, you are a proven team player with the ability to develop great relationships easily and naturally across the organization. The role involves supporting and setting risk standards.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Leadership skills and experience as a line manager in previous roles.Strong understanding of risks and internal control principles, methodologies, and frameworks (., COSO).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.
